Descrição: A brief scene of Marshal Joffre receiving a civilian delegation outside his headquarters. Shells of various calibres stacked in a munitions dump, and Engineers pulling a box girder bridge into position across a river, with the piers of the old bridge standing beside the new, in the Somme region. Limbered US 155mm howitzers move up a road. US soldiers on a route march, including a machine gun company with its light carts. Most of the men wave at the camera. Soldiers move through a trench and look out from the summit of Mont Plémont. The commander of a colonial division with a Moroccan regiment attached to it (name censored) is decorated by General Humbert with the Croix de Guerre. Humbert inspects the division, which marches past. 320mm railway guns "which silenced the guns bombarding Paris" are loaded and fired.
